Full stories
Northfield Regional has opened a two-theatre robotic surgery suite on level 1 of Building C. The first procedures, partial knee replacements, took place this month.
Robot-assisted operations use smaller incisions, which for many patients means less pain and a shorter stay. Our orthopaedic, urology and colorectal teams have completed simulator and supervised training.
Your surgeon will discuss whether a robotic approach is right for you at your pre-operative appointment. There is no change to how you are referred.
Seasonal flu and updated COVID-19 vaccines are available at walk-in clinics in the Building A atrium, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 16:00.
Vaccination is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and over, and especially for people aged 65+, pregnant people, and anyone with a long-term condition.
Bring your insurance card if you have one. Nobody is turned away because they cannot pay.
The Neurology & Stroke team has been recognised by the regional stroke network for one of the fastest door-to-needle times in the region.
A pre-alert from paramedics now sends patients straight to CT, with the stroke neurologist meeting them on arrival. Every minute saved protects around 1.9 million brain cells.
Know the signs: face drooping, arm weakness, speech difficulty. Time to call emergency services.
Guided tours of the birth centre run every Saturday at 10:00 and 11:30. Each tour has a midwife guide and time for questions.
Tours are free. Book through the appointment page by choosing Maternity & Women's Health and selecting 'Tour or class' as the visit type.
Our volunteer wayfinders greet people at the main entrances and walk them to clinics. We are looking for 30 new volunteers this autumn.
No experience is needed. Training takes one day and covers the campus, accessibility and patient privacy. Contact the volunteer office through our contact page.
To make room for the new outpatient centre (Building G), car park 3 will close from 1 September 2026 for about 18 months.
The multi-storey car park on Northfield Avenue has 400 extra spaces, and a free shuttle runs to the main entrance every 10 minutes from 6:00 to 22:00.
Blue badge spaces remain outside Buildings A, B and D.
